Who is a Distributor?
Any natural or legal person in the supply chain that, regardless of the sales technique used, markets a Batteries and Accumulators.
The fact that a company is a Distributor will not prevent it from being a Producer at the same time, it is a clear example when the origin of the Batteries and Accumulators marketed is importation, purchase in a country of the European Union or when the product is manufactured with a white label exclusively for your distribution entity.

Obligations: Waste Collection
- The collection of waste portable batteries and accumulators must be carried out using specific selective collection procedures. For this, networks of selective collection points will be created, distributed according to population density and in sufficient number, accessible and close to the owner or end user; In any case, delivery by the owner or end user will be free of charge for them, who will not be required to purchase new batteries or accumulators.
- These procedures may be used in conjunction with the systems referred to in article 7 of Royal Decree 208/2005, of February 25.
- In the case of selective collection points located in distributors' establishments, the procedures referred to in the previous section will be organized in such a way that distributors will be obliged to accept the return of used portable batteries and accumulators free of charge for their holders or final users, and they may not require them to purchase or acquire new portable batteries or accumulators.
- In any case, at the time of supplying portable batteries or accumulators, the distributors of these products will be obliged to accept, at no charge to the holder or end user, the return of used portable batteries and accumulators.
- In the case of industrial or automotive Batteries and Accumulators, collections and transfers must be carried out by the producers themselves or by the management system services authorized by the autonomous communities.
- When selling devices over the Internet, producers or distributors must ensure that buyers can deliver their Batteries and Accumulators in the same way as in physical stores.
Collection System
The SUN RE - REBATTERY Association will be in charge of the management (collection, transport and treatment) of Waste Batteries and Accumulators through authorized and specialized Waste Management companies for the management of this type of waste.

NOTE: All this waste management process has no cost for the companies involved, all management is financed through SCRAP SUN RE - BATTERY.
NOTE: The SUN RE - BATTERY Association is in charge of managing all the Categories of Batteries and Accumulators compiled in Royal Decree 710/2015, of July 24, which modifies Royal Decree 106/2008, of February, on batteries and accumulators and the environmental management of their waste.
